Are
there some people who cannot be
hypnotised ?
- Apart from some
people suffering from certain forms of mental handicap, most people
can achieve this state, although the degree will vary from person
to person.
Shall I be Aware
of what is happening?
- Yes. Probably
more aware of events than you would be normally.
Am
I asleep or unconscious?
- No. That is why
hypnosis is sometimes referred to as an Altered state of awareness.
If you were asleep or unconscious you would not be aware of what was
happening.
Could
I be influenced to do anything against my will?
- No. You would
return to your normal state of consciousness immediately if any such
suggestion was made.
How
many visits will I need?
- Some problems
such as changing habits can be dealt with very quickly, whereas others
may take longer. It is impossible to be precise as to the number of
appointments needed, as the differences in personality of both therapist
and client may vary so much.

influence a person's feelings, reactions, and habits.
